    Timeless Design Meets Effortless Installation

Incorporating traditional Georgian-style panelling in your home has never been easier. The Legacy Tongue and Groove panels slot together seamlessly, and each panel covers the equivalent of six planks for effortless installation.

    Primed and Ready to Paint

Our pre-primed MDF panels are ready to paint in any colour and remove the hassle of manual priming. This means you can enjoy faster installation and a smooth surface that creates a flawless finish.

    Traditional British Craftmanship

Our Legacy panels use Hidrofugo MDF which creates a denser and more durable panel than using standard MDF. Its low absorption reduces time spent priming and painting whilst its moisture resistance makes it ideal for high-humidity and high-traffic areas.

The panels are available in several profiles and dimensions:

    Fluted, Reeded, Reeded Fine, SlatWall

    Full Panel: 2400mm (H) x 600mm (W) x 12mm (D) Half-Height: 1200mm (H) x 600mm (W) x 12mm (D)

    Full Panel: 2400mm (H) x 600mm (W) x 9mm (D) Half-Height: 800mm (H) x 600mm (W) x 9mm (D)

How do I install Legacy MDF panels?

Apply Hybrid Grab Adhesive to the back of each panel and press firmly onto the wall. For seamless results, use wood filler on joints and sand before painting. If needed, pin the panels with 25mm pins to aid adhesion. View our fitting guide for more details.

Do I need to prime my Legacy MDF panels?

We offer both pre-primed and unprimed panels to suit your project needs and DIY skill level. If you opt for unprimed panels, simply install them onto the wall, fill and caulk the seams, then apply a water-based primer until you achieve your desired coverage before painting. Pre-Primed panels are ready to paint.

What’s the best way to paint Legacy MDF panels?

You can use a brush, roller, or sprayer with your chosen paint colour and finish. For the best results, we recommend installing the panels first, sealing any gaps, and then painting. While pre-painting is possible, it may require touch-ups after installation and typically needs a large prep area.

How many Legacy MDF panels do I need?

Each panel covers 1.44m² (2400x600mm), 0.72m² (1200x600mm) or 0.48m²(800x600mm). Measure the height and width of your wall in metres, multiply these values together to calculate the total area, and divide by 1.44, 0.72, or 0.48 depending on panel size. Always round this up.

Why do some Legacy MDF panels have a green core?

Panels are crafted from moisture-resistant MDF, which often has a green core. This core may be visible in machined profiles but does not affect surface quality or paint application.

    What is Hidrofugo moisture-resistant MDF?

Hidrofugo is a high-density, high-performance MDF with excellent moisture resistance, making it suitable for high-humidity areas like kitchens and bathrooms.

Can I install Legacy MDF panels in wet areas?

Panels made from Hidrofugo MDF are suitable for high-humidity areas but should not be exposed to direct water contact or excessive moisture.

Can I use Legacy MDF Panels in bathrooms or kitchens?

Yes, Legacy MDF Panels made with Hidrofugo moisture-resistant MDF are suitable for high-humidity areas such as kitchens and bathrooms, but they should not be exposed to direct water contact or excessive moisture. Always ensure proper ventilation.

How do I cut Legacy MDF panels?

For straight cuts, use a fine-toothed hand saw for a clean edge. A jigsaw can be used for larger sections, guide it carefully to avoid chipping. For middle cuts, drill a starter hole, then use a hand saw or jigsaw. For precise cuts, a multi-tool with a blade attachment is ideal.
