Frequently Asked Questions

Are the Elemence shower panels waterproof?

Elemence panels are waterproof, with AquaGuard technology they offer maximum protection against moisture. This makes them ideal for high-moisture areas like showers, bathrooms, and kitchens, providing long-lasting protection against water damage.

Can Elemence panels be installed in showers?

Yes, Elemence panels are specifically designed for high-moisture environments. The AquaGuard technology ensures that the panels are waterproof, making them perfect for showers, bathrooms, and other wet areas.

How do I cut Elemence Shower Panels?

  1. When cutting Elemence Shower Panels wear all appropriate PPE including dust mask, protective eyewear, and cut panels in a well-ventilated space.
  2. Measure the height required and measure the width of the wall, working out if you need to cut any panels down.  Important: Note the orientation of the panels, matching up the tongue and groove edges
  3. Measure your panels from the panel’s edge (not the tongue or groove edge). If you intend to use trims, don’t forget to take the trim dimensions into account when measuring up. Note: The panels join with tongue and groove AquaGuard technique. If you need to cut panel widths, only cut the end panels down ensuring the middle panels will still connect
  4. Mark where you want to cut with a straight-edge or spirit level and pencil  Note: these panels have a protective film, leave this until cut have been made but remove before install onto wall
  5. With the panel face facing up, carefully cut the panel with a hand saw, jigsaw or circular saw Top Tip: Cut off the tongue or groove edge on end panels for a neater edge, perfect for sealing or application of trims

What are Elemence panels made from?

Elemence panels are made from 80% natural limestone combined with recycled materials, creating a Stone Plastic Composite (SPC) that offers superior strength and sustainability to other PVC shower panels.

How do I clean and maintain Elemence panels?

Elemence panels are easy to clean and maintain. Simply wipe them with a damp cloth and mild detergent to keep them looking fresh. Their grout-free design means you won't have to deal with the upkeep of grout lines.

Can I install Elemence panels over existing tiles?

Yes, Elemence panels can be installed over existing tiles, just ensure your surface is as flat as possible. Their AquaGuard click-lock system ensures a quick, secure fit over various surfaces.

How do Elemence Shower Panels fit round fixtures and plumbing?

When fitting Elemence Shower Panels around fittings and plumbing, follow these steps, ensure you wear appropriate PPE and cut panels in a well-ventilated space.

  1. Measure the exact location of your fittings and plumbing on the wall. Determine which panels will need adjustments. Use a spirit level to mark the location on the panel with a clear cross to ensure precision.
  2. Use a hole saw with the correct-sized circular attachment to cut out holes for your fittings. Drill slowly and steadily to avoid cracking or damaging the panel.
  3. Test-fit the panel over the fixtures to ensure the holes align properly. Make any necessary adjustments carefully before final installation.
  4. Once the panel is fitted, seal any holes or edges created for pipes, fittings, or plumbing with a sealant, this ensures a watertight finish.
