    Description

    ADD CAPTIVATING CHARACTER

Invite a contemporary vibe into your space with Reeded wood panels. Defined by vertical convex curves across the surface, this style features a ribbed texture that brings striking depth to walls. This style comes in two scales to suit your desired aesthetic: Reeded, which features 20 wider reeds per panel for a statement look, and Reeded Fine, which features 40 narrow reeds per panel for a subtler finish.

Crafted by our team of skilled craftspeople in the UK, this panelling is precision-cut with advanced machinery to bring the wavy profile to life. It’s made from Hidrofugo MDF – a high-performance water-resistant material suitable for installation in humid interiors such as kitchens, utility rooms and more.

As well as being easy to install, this Reeded panelling is simple to customise to your style. Available in Primed or Unprimed, these MDF panels are easy to customise to suit your design. Choose Primed for professionally primed panels, ready to paint with minimal prep. Alternatively, order Unprimed, then prep and apply a water-based primer at home before painting in your chosen colour. Simply cut them to size with a hand saw and apply them to your wall with grab adhesive.

Panels for Every Style and Skill Level

Our pre-primed panels are ready to paint, perfect for those with limited time or DIY experience. Unprimed panels offer a smooth surface, ready for priming and painting and ideal for more experienced DIYers.

    Proudly Made in Britain

Proudly made in our Yorkshire workshop, each of our panels reflect the dedication and expertise of our skilled craftspeople. Produced using state-of-the-art CNC equipment and hand-finished for perfect results every time.

    High-Quality Materials, Designed to Last

Our Legacy panels use Hidrofugo MDF which creates a denser and more durable panel than using standard MDF. Its low absorption reduces time spent priming and painting whilst its moisture resistance makes it ideal for high-humidity and high-traffic areas.

How do I install Legacy MDF panels?

Apply Hybrid Grab Adhesive to the back of each panel and press firmly onto the wall. For seamless results, use wood filler on joints and sand before painting. If needed, pin the panels with 25mm pins to aid adhesion. View our fitting guide for more details.

Do I need to prime my Legacy MDF panels?

We offer both pre-primed and unprimed panels to suit your project needs and DIY skill level. If you opt for unprimed panels, simply install them onto the wall, fill and caulk the seams, then apply a water-based primer until you achieve your desired coverage before painting. Pre-Primed panels are ready to paint.

What’s the best way to paint Legacy MDF panels?

You can use a brush, roller, or sprayer with your chosen paint colour and finish. For the best results, we recommend installing the panels first, sealing any gaps, and then painting. While pre-painting is possible, it may require touch-ups after installation and typically needs a large prep area.

How many Legacy MDF panels do I need?

Each panel covers 1.44m² (2400x600mm), 0.72m² (1200x600mm) or 0.48m²(800x600mm). Measure the height and width of your wall in metres, multiply these values together to calculate the total area, and divide by 1.44, 0.72, or 0.48 depending on panel size. Always round this up.

Why do some Legacy MDF panels have a green core?

Panels are crafted from moisture-resistant MDF, which often has a green core. This core may be visible in machined profiles but does not affect surface quality or paint application.

    What is Hidrofugo moisture-resistant MDF?

Hidrofugo is a high-density, high-performance MDF with excellent moisture resistance, making it suitable for high-humidity areas like kitchens and bathrooms.

Can I install Legacy MDF panels in wet areas?

How do I cut Legacy MDF panels?

For straight cuts, use a fine-toothed hand saw for a clean edge. A jigsaw can be used for larger sections, guide it carefully to avoid chipping. For middle cuts, drill a starter hole, then use a hand saw or jigsaw. For precise cuts, a multi-tool with a blade attachment is ideal.
