Add shadowing and depth

With its high-contrast tones, SlatWall Natural Oak and Black panelling will add striking definition to walls. It features oak wood veneer and black MDF slats fully bonded to recycled felt, offering durability and longevity for your interiors. The dark core and backing provide depth, allowing the wood's organic characteristics to stand out.

Available in 1.2m, 2.4m and 3m, this style is crafted at our workshop in East Yorkshire. Choose the unfinished option for a matte appearance and subtle shading, or pick oiled for a richer tone and satin effect.

As well as elevating your room’s style, our SlatWall Natural Oak and Black panelling offers excellent soundproofing properties. The gaps between the slats allow sound waves to vibrate, while the recycled felt backing absorbs them, resulting in a quieting effect.

Installation

Easy to install semi-rigid and lightweight panels. Bond directly to wall with Grab Adhesive or use 35mm x 3.5mm screws to fix directly through the felt backing. Cut panels to size across the width using a fine-toothed handsaw or slice felt vertically with a sharp utility knife.

How do I cut SlatWall panels?

You can cut SlatWall panels with a fine-toothed hand saw or power tools. If using the latter, remember to use the correct and suitable cutting blade to create a crisp cut line. We recommend performing a test cut first, if possible.

Can I install SlatWall panels in wet areas?

We recommend installing SlatWall panels in dry areas with low humidity and no water contact. For areas with high humidity or direct water contact, use our SlatWall Waterproof panels instead.

Can I paint, stain or oil SlatWall panels?

Yes, absolutely. Alternatively, we offer a range of pre-oiled shades, including Oiled Oak, Washed Oak and Deep Walnut.

How many SlatWall panels do I need?

Measure the height and width of your chosen space in metres, then multiply these values together. If you're installing 2.4m panels, divide your total by 1.44. If you are installing 3m panels, divide your total by 1.8. Round this number up to calculate how many panels you'll need.

Can Slatwall be fitted around or behind radiators?

Yes, SlatWall is suitable for installation around radiators. The adhesive bonding we use to attach the slats to the felt is fully cured and heat-resistant up to 150°C, which is much lower than the temperature produced by most radiators. However, we recommend keeping the wood veneer away from direct contact with radiators to maintain its beautiful finish.
