What is the shadow gap on WoodWall Flat Veneered Panels?

Flat Veneered WoodWall Panels feature a 3mm × 3mm square shadow gap as standard. The shadow relief line is positioned along one edge of each panel, the gap creates subtle definition when panels are installed side by side, adding depth and architectural detail while maintaining a clean, refined finish.

WoodWall Panels are available in a selection of sizes depending on the profile. Flat Veneered Panels are available in 0.6 × 0.6m, 1.2 × 0.6m, 2.4 × 0.6m and 3 × 0.6m. Profiled panels are available in 1.2 × 0.6m, 2.4 × 0.6m and 3 × 0.6m. Availability may vary by finish and profile.

How do I install WoodWall Panels?

WoodWall Panels are designed for straightforward installation using a high-quality hybrid grab adhesive. Apply continuous wavy beads evenly across the back of the panel, position it against the prepared wall and apply firm, even pressure until the adhesive has formed a secure bond. Refer to the WoodWall Fitting Guide for full instructions. 

How should WoodWall Panels be stored before installation?

Allow WoodWall Panels to acclimatise in the room where they will be installed for at least 24 hours before fitting. Keep the panels laid flat during this period to help minimise bowing.

Can WoodWall Panels be cut to size?

Yes. WoodWall Panels can be cut using a fine-toothed hand saw, jigsaw or circular saw with a suitable fine-toothed blade. Applying masking tape along the cut line can help reduce splintering, and cut edges can be lightly finished using 120-grit sandpaper.

Can WoodWall Panels be installed on uneven walls?

WoodWall Panels should be fitted to a clean, dry and reasonably level surface. The grab adhesive can accommodate minor surface variations, but larger dips, bumps or uneven areas should be levelled before installation to help the panels sit flat and bond securely.

Can I create a seamless look without the WoodWall shadow gap?

Yes. If you prefer a more uninterrupted wood-wall appearance, the shadow-gap edge can be carefully removed before installation. Panels can then be butt-jointed together, with the join concealed using a suitably colour-matched wood filler if desired.

Can I stain, oil or varnish WoodWall Panels?

Yes. WoodWall Panels feature an untreated real wood veneer surface, allowing you to stain, oil or varnish the veneer to suit your interior, desired colour or project protection requirements. We recommend testing your chosen finish on a sample or off-cut first.

How do I clean and maintain WoodWall Panels?

Dust regularly with a soft cloth or vacuum using a soft brush attachment. For light marks, wipe gently with a damp, lint-free cloth and warm water, following the direction of the wood grain. A small amount of mild dish soap can be used for stubborn marks. Avoid soaking the veneer or using harsh or abrasive cleaners.
